Skirting Cancer

By Dean L. Jones

Progressively more and more capable science confidently predicts that cancer diseases will go from a catastrophic illness to a manageable chronic health condition by using immunotherapy.  Although not the first patient to benefit, President Jimmy Carter was diagnosed with brain and liver cancer last year where he immediately underwent immunotherapy treatment and today his cancer is responding well and the disease has not spread further.

This is without question good news to potentially no longer having to suppose cancer as the end.  Nonetheless, depending whether it is caught early enough to treat and of course having adequate medical insurance remains a huge part of the problem surrounding cancer cures.

Ideally, the thing is not to have to deal with any cancer disease at all, where fortunately a considerable amount of information is being uncovered on ways to do so.  For instance, excessive consumption of simple table sugar found in nearly every kitchen in America may increase the risk of breast cancer.  Additionally, excessive sugar metabolizes in the liver, which can turn into a dangerous fatty buildup that increases cancer risks.

Few consumers want to accept that sugar is an inflammatory, and inflammation is part of the problem in breast cancer and when sizeable amounts of sugar reaches the mammary gland a tumor can easily develop.  The research on this condition adds that overt sucrose or fructose intake also contributes to an increased risk of cancer spreading to the lungs.

The science on this is old news, but due to the advancement with effective cancer treatments it appears that more information is being released on how we can actually avoid ever contracting cancer by eating better.  Routinely you are hearing that moderate processed sugar consumption is critical, particularly how heavy consumption of sugar-sweetened beverages is a significant contributor to the worldwide epidemics of obesity, heart disease and cancer.

In cancer treatment, a spoonful of sugar does NOT help the medicine go down due in part that cancer cells have receptors (insulin growth factors), which are used to spread cancer.  To exemplify, drinking just three sugar-sweetened beverages a week can cause considerable breast density that makes it difficult to see tumors on mammograms, a major factor toward increasing the risk of permitting breast cancer to go undetected.

Sweet product advertisements and women are commonly placed together.  Particularly when it comes to selling products related to chocolate, cereal, cake, ice cream, and sugar-sweetened beverage, the ads reflect a propensity to exclusively showcase women indulging with energetic joy.

Processed sugar is added to foodstuff as an ingredient in a large variety of names including fructose, lactose, sucrose, maltose, glucose, and dextrose, thereby making it extremely difficult to fully avoid eating it hidden in foodstuff.  Nonetheless, making an effort to skirt cancer is a vital component for staying healthy from living SugarAlert!
